A prism is depicted in the center of the image, refracting light and casting spectral colors across a dark surface. Blue, cyan, green, yellow, orange, and red light rays are scattered, demonstrating the dispersion of light into its constituent colors. The image could be used for projects relating to optics, physics, color theory, art, education, and design.
